Canada, Quebec, Montreal – Vivaldi in Dresden under the direction of Mathieu Lussier – March 8, 9 and 10, 2013

Music beyond borders

Although Vivaldi never visited Dresden, a thriving city in the 18th century, he dedicated many of his works to the court composer, Pisendel.  Mathieu Lussier will open our ears to the influence Vivaldi had on musicians in Dresden, underscoring once again that music does indeed transgress all geographic borders.

On the program :
La Folia « Dresden Version », op. 1, n°12 RV 63 and Concerto in F major for violin, two horns, two oboes and bassoon RV 569 by Antonio Vivaldi;
