François Couperin composed his masterpiece Les Goüts réunis in 1724, symbol of the communion of both the Italian and French styles. This concert will underscore the grandeur of both the Italian manner, with works by Corelli, and the French nations with Leclair and Couperin.

A musical lunch in the shadow of the splendor and intricacies of a sumptuous century.

Music beyond borders

Although Vivaldi never visited Dresden, a thriving city in the 18th century, he dedicated many of his works to the court composer, Pisendel. Mathieu Lussier will open our ears to the influence Vivaldi had on musicians in Dresden, underscoring once again that music does indeed transgress all geographic borders.
